How to be rich in Ethiopia
Now here in Ethiopia, it is becoming very hard to live because of inflation and the civil war which affects the country's growth and every citizen living in it. This makes life for all people of the country harder than it was but there is always a solution to a problem at least I believe in that.
So here I will try to show you what you can do to change your lives if you are in a developing country, especially in Ethiopia. Many companies started to get rich by working as a collective unit and here I am going to list them and show you how their growth came before them.
Selam Bus Company
The Selam bus company is a private company, and it can be shown as a perfect example of collective workers changing their lives. Selam bus private company started in 1996 in Ethiopian Calendar, and they started with 1600 members.
Isn't it that amazing more than a thousand people trust each other and start a business to change their life? it's a very mind-blowing group of people the exciting thing about them is that they each gathered around 20thousand to 30thousand Ethiopian Birr. And it summed up to more than 35 million ETB then they started with only like 7 buses and they also only covered short roads in Ethiopia and now they make a 33 million net profit in Ethiopian birr.
It took them about 10 years to reach this level of making 33 million profits, but we all know if you live in Ethiopia, you can't make anything like that even if you spend all your life learning to get a PhD. or Master in any education but together, they made things possible and life easy for themselves. So, you have any idea regardless of how much money you need and getting the right people to start the business making a shareholder and doing the right steps you can make your life easy just like them with short initial money.
Lemlem School
Lemlem school is found in Ethiopia, around France embassy in Yeka Sub-city what's so interesting about the school is its initial capacity. I can't tell you in numbers but since I live there and see every progress the school makes; I can tell you how successful they are today.
They started the school with a very home-looking house and only with kindergarten students the school was even located around a forest area where it was not even comfortable for the students to walk to the school.
The school owner is called Eldana and she started it with her family and close relatives, they had a large area in their house that is not used, then they worked hard and save money to open the school in that large area in their house and to upgrade it with the money they saved and they started to teach students from grade 1 to grade 4 and then the next thing you know they changed their place to a more public place to be well-known and start teaching students from grade 1 to grade 8 including kindergarten students.
The question is how someone can just buy land and start doing business from just teaching little kindergarten students in their backyard or land left in their house, well they did it. The price of 1 student is so high in a private school in Ethiopia and multiplying that with the number of students you have in a school gives you a very large income. The owner of the school even used her relatives to teach the kids to save money and together that's how they reach the level they are today.
Well, now the school is big enough to teach students up to grade 12 and they even after all added another business.
Youtubers
We all know these YouTube and social platforms earn money if done right but why are we not considering it when it comes to asking ourselves how to be rich? The answer most of us have in Ethiopia is a lack of self-confidence and lack of contentment, people say no I am not good at this I start, and I will fail. Most people start with doubt in their mind, and surely, they will fail but let me give you some examples of people who considered it serious and benefited from it.
The first one I think most of you know is the Bertemios guy on YouTube. He is dedicated to becoming a comedian he knows what he is talented at, and dedication comes from self-confidence and avoidance of tiredness, he did exactly that and changed his life. But that is for some people who want to change by themselves with no group work. When it comes to togetherness let's see the guys BBtomy you all know that they are three comedians who work together. At first, all people say about them was an insult they had many difficulties in winning the crowd but still, they showed dedication to not stopping and they used the insult they get as a reply for the crowd and many people get to be involved in them.
Many people are influential on social media but what I advise you is that you don't have to be a comedian. You can be a teacher or anything you feel you are good at, and you can share it with people and get credit for it.
But don't choose the wrong path many social media users are spreading false information and getting credit for it and it is wrong because eventually you will be banned, and the crowd will hate you for it.
The key points
The main thing you learn from the first company is that togetherness doesn't require a high initial cost you can just start it with a very low initial and do a good job by doing things together you can help each other to make the company bigger and stronger. And in case you are together, and it is good to do any business together, but you need strict rules and dedication and honesty between each other otherwise it will be like a house built on mud, a wind comes and takes it all.
What you learn from the second company is that to reach level 10 or somewhere very high you should know the starting point is level 1 starting from the bottom you can learn how to grow and while you do that you should always tell yourself to keep going and not to stop when things get hard and you can also learn that the money you get from starting a business should be spent on the business itself to make it strong more wanted and to stop any doubts from customers if there is any. If you increase the quality of your business by investing more in it, then it is very likely your income will increase.
From the last business, we learn that for any method of making money you always need to encourage and have the motivation to look and hunt for it many can be examples for this business all you need is courage and to know what you are good at, people always look for entertainment and learning new things you can use that to your advantage and make income out of it.
